Farmers, landowners, and agricultural professionals are invited to attend the Soil Health Winter Workshop on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Torey’s Restaurant, located at 208 N. Cedar Avenue, Owatonna.


This educational workshop will focus on practical soil health strategies, with an emphasis on how strip-till and cover crops can improve farm profitability and efficiency. The theme of the event, “Strip-Till Makes Dollars and Sense,” highlights both the agronomic and economic benefits of conservation-based farming practices.


The workshop will feature four presenters offering a range of perspectives:


• Pat Duncanson will present on soil health as a whole and debunking myths that are often associated with strip-till, cover crops, etc.


• Randy DePuydt will be focusing on strip-till as a key component in a regenerative ag system with observations from multiple points of view
