LAKE MANAGEMENT PLANS

Lake management plans help the Cannon River Watershed Joint Powers Organization (CRWJPO) and its partners identify strategies to protect and improve water quality in the watershed’s priority lakes.

Each plan uses water quality data and nutrient assessments to identify lake-specific needs and recommend management strategies. Recommendations may include reducing nutrient runoff from the surrounding watershed or addressing issues within the lake itself.

The Cannon River Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan identifies seven priority lakes: Beaver, Cedar, Fish, Fox, Hunt, Kelly/Dudley, and Roemhildts.
