WELCOME

Welcome to the Cannon River Watershed Joint Powers Organization—where communities come together to protect and enhance the natural resources that make southeastern Minnesota such a special place to live, work, and explore.

Spanning a diverse landscape of rivers, lakes, farms, and forests, the Cannon River Watershed covers more than 1,400 square miles and plays a vital role in supporting clean water, healthy ecosystems, and thriving communities.

Through partnerships with local governments, landowners, and residents, we work to implement conservation practices, improve water quality, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our watershed. Whether you’re here to learn, get involved, or take action, we invite you to join us in caring for the Cannon River and the land it connects.
