Soil Health Events

The CRWJPO has hosted and continues to host large events focused on soil health, as well as smaller farmer-led meetings. The focus of these meetings is to provide resources and encourage adoption of practices including reduced tillage and cover crops. Events occur throughout the year and throughout the watershed reaching around 150 farmers each year.

Soil health goals include increasing organic matter through the use of cover crops and reduced tillage on 15% of the corn/soybean crop acres and on 80% of short season crop acres.
