Saving the Monarch: Improving Habitat for the Future

Join the Cannon River Watershed Joint Powers Organization as they host the first session of the 2024-2025 virtual learning series Land to Lake Lectures. Since the 1990s, the Monarch butterfly’s population has declined by more than 80%. Barb Bolan from the Wild Ones SE MN Prairie Partners Chapter will share strategies to improve prairie habitat that can benefit the Monarch and other pollinators. Funding opportunities available for planting native will also be discussed. This series is offered in collaboration with the University of Minnesota-Extension.
